Chapter 11
***Ramrod***
I burst through the door of the clubhouse and head toward my woman. The second I got the call from my VP, that thereâd been a hit concerning my woman, I was on my bike driving full speed to the clubhouse. Apparently, they felt the need to keep me out of the loop, only to call me when they were all back there.
Broke stops me in the middle of the room. Looking over his shoulder I can see Doll sitting in a chair; Lochlan, Arlo, Chopper, and a prospect as one front surrounding her. Iâm seeing red because the look on her face is pure fear and those fuckers are in a threatening position crowding her.
âHadley is with her dad, Depay picked her up. Lynn is at home...shit...listen up, Ramrod. We didnât see this coming and nothing adds up. We know what youâve told us about herâ¦but,â Broke begins but I wonât have any of this, not until I can hold her.
âMove,â I growl.
âSheâs a fucking witness, or...fuck, just think for a fucking second, man.â Broke tries in an effort to calm me down, but I shove him away. I donât even care if heâs my VP. I need to get to my woman, she needs me right now.
Two strides and Iâm pushing my other brothers away to gather her in my arms but itâs as if Iâm holding a sack of stones. She doesnât acknowledge me and her head is down. I guide her back to the chair she was sitting on and squat in front of her, lifting her chin with my hand so I can connect her eyes with mine. âHey, sugar, youâre safe now. Iâm here.â
I can see her fucking swallow, tears streaming down her face as if her time is up. Following a tear, I see thereâs blood on her neck. âSheâs fucking bleeding and you guys treat her like this?â I roar at the top of my lungs.
âAre you going to tell him, or shall I?â Thatâs all Lochlan says from beside me.
âIâd like to leave now, I need to get out of here,â Doll says, head still down.
âThatâs never going to happen. Nowhere to run, little one,â Arlo adds.
âTick, tock, all of our brothers are here, think hard before you say something. Even if you think you have one of us tied around your finger, heâll back a brother up anytime over what lies you might sweet-talk in his ear,â the prospect, Rembrandt, says from my left.
âIâm not afraid of you, of none of you,â Doll states while she glares around, her eyes lingering a bit too long on Lochlan and yet sheâs shaking like a fucking leaf.
Lochlan smacks Rembrandt on the back of his head. âFuck off, prospect. Where was your ass anyway? You and Arlo were supposed to cover the front, asshole.â
âThere was an old woman, she fell so we helped her to her car, we didnât see,â Arlo states.
Iâve had it with this shit. I scoop Doll up and although she fights like hell to get away from me, I hold on.
